The problems with outsourcing that nobody wants to Talk About
Everything you heard is what outsourcing is good for the country and the way it is supposed to keep the cost of products made abroad, so much cheaper, so let me give you my interpretation of outsourcing and what he did to my family.
I held a career with a company for thirty years with the expectations of retiring from the day, it was a good job and allowed me and my wife to live the lifestyle of the middle class. The company I worked for was the largest employer in this rural area you reside in, you can call the lifeblood of the county, not more than that went along with our dreams and livelihoods.
Good paying jobs in this field are virtually nonexistent, minimum wage or slightly above average so you can see why I felt so lucky to have a career I spent more than half of my life to climbing the success of this 'last and feel very lucky and fortunate to be able to provide all my family needs to fifteen minutes from home.
Some years ago the company began building plants in several other countries all the time tell us that we had nothing to worry about and that there would remain the main structure and continue as usual, well that was about as far from the truth as one could ever imagine. It was not very long until the jobs in our structure has begun to disappear little by little until the day when the announcement was made that we were closing, that Friday morning will remain embedded in my mind for the rest of my life.
After a year or so I managed to find another job at fifty miles from home that pays ten dollars an hour. After all necessary deductions for taxes and insurance, and I put back the hundred dollars to the cost of travel has left me with five dollars an hour to live, that should cover our utilities, food, bills card Credit and anything else that is, now you tell me how this kind of thing is good for the country, say it makes their products cheaper, for us, the lives of Americans?
As regards the economic plates, hell, they should be giving away before I could afford it now. My wife sets still and cries, her nerves are shot to be plagued by calls from collection agencies that could care less about your situation. I am fifty five years now and jobs do not grow on trees around here, employers want younger workers, regardless of what they say about discrimination. I almost did something most of my life and this is all I know so if a company does not need the ability to forget can be taken.
I do not see the cost of anything is enough to justify taking American jobs and sending them to other countries. It 's very humbling experience ranging from middle class to poverty overnight, but it's happening every day. All that we observe the price is skyrocketing, and soon there will be no way to afford to live in this country that wages are paid, we Americans need to take a stand and say enough is enough.
Just look at what our leaders in Washington make a year, not to mention all the benefits that go with their work. I wonder what should be done by outsourcing, if we started sending their jobs overseas. I sent letters to Congress and the governor, all unanswered, of course. Maybe one day enough of us get sick and tired of the situation and do something to stop this madness, but until that day comes there are allot of us in desperate need right here at home, Americans should take care of Americans. There is no reason anyone in this country should do without .......
