Alternative to eBay - are the best option?

With so many people losing their jobs and the current state of the economy, people are going to be looking for ways to earn income from home. The old standby was eBay. If someone wanted to make some extra cash, they could always count on eBay.

Are there better alternatives?

Well ..... there are options. I actually do not think they're better, but you can judge for yourself.

You can create your own web site - a great option. But building a website is not easy, especially if you have no history of web design. There is also a small problem with getting traffic. Just because you built a website does not mean that people will come. It does not work. Be prepared to spend money on traffic charges and / or a lot of time trying to get it ranked in search engines.

Use a different market - eBay is not the only game in town anymore. Amazon has a strong market, as well as (their fees are high, as well). But after this, you are going to have a very difficult time finding a market that really brings in traffic. There are a lot of free or low-priced markets out there, but it is not going to get enough traffic to generate sales sufficient to earn a living.

Finding another job - do not know about you, but I do not think I can manage another 9-5 jobs. It is a soul-crushing existence do something 5 days a week that you really do not like. Life is too short .......
