Outsourcing companies display and processing - on a given day!

Every day, you can find companies outsourcing processing and shipping large volumes of Point of Purchase displays filled with a variety of products to stores and warehouses around the country.

Display of products have become a mainstay in retail. Retailers have found that their customers are attracted by a visually appealing floor or counter displays, which increased sales of products can be directly linked to being housed in the display. Displays have become an interesting way for seasonal goods products for events such as Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's day or simply to promote sales events or new releases. Displays can be quickly set up and removed from the merchandising equipment harden.

An example of this is music CDs and DVDs. In recent years, with the onslaught of technology such as iPods, and illegal file sharing, music sales have fallen drastically. Retailers have found that viewing music CDs and DVDs, such as new releases and perennial favorites coupled with advertising, sales are much higher than the same music just put in a ward CD or DVD rack

Most of the music CD and DVD displays contain time-sensitive products that must be received at the stores in a data set corresponding to the release dates advertised. This, of course, presents retailers with a range of challenges in the logistics process. The receipt and accounting for all components of display and retail goods and delivery of shipments according to their specific transit times are all equally important in the preparation and implementation of any project. Many wholesalers and retailers have sought the services of outsourcing logistics companies to help this process and hard work to satisfy the requirements of the Data Store.

Some outsourcing companies have experience working on a variety of display types. Because of this experience, were able to develop the processes to handle this complexity and retain the flexibility to accept visualization projects. Visualization projects that have become commonplace are music CDs, DVD movies, electronic games, electronic components, consumer hard lines, books and software PC just to name a few.

Outsource providers works with companies to design and produce components display or work with pre-existing designs. These display components are generally shipped before the arrival of the products that go into them. When the components of the customers provided arrive at assembly plants, all the components needed to assemble the displays are accounted for. A sample quality control is performed and compared with original artwork or samples to ensure that the graphics and colors to match what the customer has purchased. Usually the time sequence between the arrival and dispatch of parts of a project is so tight that accounting for the parts and quality control are absolutely vital. Depending on the number of screens involved in a project, the display will begin to be assembled several days before the dates of ships or in some cases on a day to get all the components. The product will be put on display, usually arrives several days to several weeks before the date of the first ship. The majority of sets of products are site specific and retail are also marked for the ship position. Resellers can completely customize the mix of products in retail locations in each exposure (s). A few days before the date of shipment, the product will be loaded into the display assembled and prepared for shipment, together with any required labels, packing slips and BOL out of the shroud of shipment. Displays are time released backwards from the date when customers require them to be in their stores or warehouses.

The complexity of this process shows makes it an ideal candidate for the 3 rd part, outsourcing vendors as the time and experience can be focused on this type of project to make the outcome a success logistics .......
