Free Website Traffic Using Directories

We all want traffic to our sites. We all want free publicity. It 's absolutely wonderful when we can combine the two.

The directories are a wonderful way to advertise and get traffic to your website.

Today, I found a blog directory and was happy to find dozens of blogs on the topic I chose to read. I was very disappointed when many of the blogs were either on a different topic or led me to pages that were not blogs. Waiting to see blog entries, but I found some "today only" sales pages, along with some subscribe to the News pages. When I found that these were the owners of the advertised site, a blog, I just sailed away. This traffic is lost. I never looked at their site.

Free advertising and presenting different pages to the directory is large, make sure you are really offering what you say you are offering.

I have taken a card on my site. I have argued that a different page directory. If you find my board dispensed via a directory link will take you directly to my table plug. Of course I hope to stay and visit, but even if you have not got exactly what you came.

I also have contests on my website. The same thing. I support the contest page only for directories of the competition. When you click on that link are taken immediately to the contest page. Those who are, get exactly what they came for the contest entry form.

And of course I also have a blog. Can I send the URL of the blog to blog directories.

A thousand page hits no sales is really much better than zero visits to the page. However, you do not have sales.

Use your navigation to get people to other pages on your site. Done well, you can use the top, bottom, left and right margins to provide other links to other areas of the site.

Always start despite having land people on the page that you expect, so keep them on your site from the first click ....
