Overcoming Shyness - 5 Tips to Overcome Shyness
Remember what it felt like having to give a presentation at school in front of all your class? Your mouth got dry, you could not stop moving and felt butterflies in your stomach. Simply put, it was a situation that we liked a lot.
For many of us, this condition and these feelings are still present now that we are adults. Talves still do not feel comfortable speaking in front of several people at work or you feel sorry for talking to people who do not know. Know that this shyness makes you more harm than you think and brings many benefits.
That's why today I want to share with you 5 tips on how to overcome fear and live a life free of social phobia and uncomfortable moments.
1. Let people around you not intimidate you. The rest of the people around you can not read your mind. Many times in which you need something or require assistance then you talk and ask people. You'll notice that most of the time these people around you are much more friendly than you thought.
The more you think and give it turns to a more difficult situation is going to be step forward to interact. Do not think twice, interacting, many people will be happy to help you or meeting you.
2. It works - you may be best. Sometimes when we do not take action at a price. For example, what if you need something from a co-worker but you have too much pain to ask for help? This lack of initiative can hurt you eventually.
Or how about your cell phone rings but it is a phone number you do not recognize and then decide not to attend. Then you realize it was a company interested in your professional services but it's too late to act. Leave your comfort zone can make your life easier and will bring short term benefits.
3. Interact with people who share your interests. When you surround yourself with people who share your tastes and your energy, such as: reading, sports, wine, chess, computers .. anything, then starting and maintaining conversations will be much easier and more natural.
When you feel comfortable (a) and you can easily develop between people who share your interests then you can make the transition easier for people with other interests, passions and views.
4. Life is Beautiful - live it. It is important to appreciate your own life and the blessings with which accounts. Live life to the fullest, without fear. If you're hoping that this guy or that girl you like asks you out - it may never happen. It is important to take action, no tragedy will happen and it is very possible that he or she will thank you for having taken that first step. Remember that you fail 100% of all shots that you dare not throw.
Missed opportunities is one of the worst things that a person can deal with. It may take time to overcome a situation in which no action. But if you decide to act, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.
5. Practice to master. The more you put forward to overcome shyness and gain more confidence in the process. The more confidence you will have more easy to follow behaving this way, free from shyness.
You know, you have nothing to lose and much to gain. A more active social life and full of satisfaction awaits you.
